Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers serve as ministers of the Precious Body and
Blood in the event that there are not enough ordinary ministers (priests, deacons,
bishops). These ministers serve at regular Eucharistic celebrations as well as
communion services and taking communion to the sick and shut-in.
Lectors serve as ministers of the Word, proclaiming the Scripture readings at daily and
weekend liturgies.
Altar Servers assist the priest during liturgical services. They are usually in grades 3-8.
Gift Bearers present the gifts of bread and wine as well as the collection basket as the
people's offerings to our God.
Ushers greet the people as they enter church and assist in seating if needed. They also take
up the collection and pass out bulletins at the end of Mass.
